Network Galway 2010

As the 2010 President of Network Galway it is my pleasure to welcome you to our Website. We are first and foremost an Organisation supporting Women in Business, The Professions & The Arts. We offer a unique mixture of formal and social business networking, learning, facilitating the growthof strong professional and personal relationships.

I am very grateful and honoured to be elected as President and know that I follow in the footstps of some of Galway's most impressive and successful Ladies who have served as President of Network Galway.

My Theme this year is "Making Strides". I have chosen this as I believe we need to keep moving forward and to "get up and get out" of this recession. We need to continue to be positive and to work in a progressive environment.

We have an exciting year ahead with one of own members and past-presidents as this year's National President. This is the second time in five years that the National Presidency has come to the Galway Branch and shows the strength and calibre of Ladies from Network Galway. I look forward to working with Anne Hession during the coming year as we work towards an exciting National Conference next Autumn in Galway.

With the Network Ireland National Conference and Awards being held in Galway in October, we have decided to bring our own Local Branch Awards forward to the Spring, so this will now be held at the end of April. We will continue the Roundtable Networking Meetings that have been very successful in the past and we hope to re-introduce the Members Display Night in the early Summer. While there will be some changes inour annual schedule, we will be keeping some things constant. Members will continue to receive the Weekly Email with the "Meet-A-Member" profile and we will continue with the Quarterly Newsletter. The Photo Gallery will be updated regularly and keep an eye out for some pictures from past events. Check out our latest Events and come along, our "Friendly Face" Member will be happy to meet and greet you on arrival.

I welcome all suggestions and ideas for meetings or events this coming year and should anyone feel they need advice or assistance to contact myself or any of the committee.

On a personal note, I am very much looking forward to the challenging year ahead and to expanding the membership of Network Galway. Network Galway meets on the first Wednesday of every month in The Westwood House Hotel at 6.15pm for a Networking opportunity with some light refreshments and the meeting beginning at 7pm. Non-members are always welcome.

We look forward to meeting you all during the year at our various meetings and events.
